Here at 3D Performance we care about your health on a 3Dimensional level. As humans we need to be:
- Physically Fit
- Mentally Tough
- Spiritually Awake
Without one side of a three legged stool, that stool will fall over. Just like us as humans, if one of those levels is not there so to does our health and fitness.
To provide a space for athletes and individuals to train the way their bodies were intended to train.
To help individuals become Physically Fit, Mentally Tough and Spiritually Awake, so that they can excel at sport, life, and everything they put their mind too.
Ryan was born and raised right here in Colorado. He was a 3 sport athlete in high school playing basketball, football and track. After a broken wrist in basketball his senior year derailed some college basketball aspirations, he decided to do high jump at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. For the last 10 years Ryan has been in and around athletes at the highest level, either training them or training with them himself. He even married a University of Colorado All American that played professional volleyball overseas for 6 years.
Through some great opportunities, Ryan has learned from some of the best trainers and therapists in the USA, as well in places like Turkey, South Korea, and France. He has helped use that knowledge to develop and implement a way of training that not only helps athletes get more explosive and athletic, but keeps them healthy while doing it. His philosophy works initially on building a foundation of strength and movement patterns to set athletes off on the right foot. Once that is done, athletes are able to build upon that foundation to reach their peak performance.
Ryan looks at his athletes as not only people who are playing a sport or running a race, but also as human beings that have a mental and spiritual side to them. Working out in of itself is a great thing, but without proper sleep, nutrition, mental toughness, and the ability to control stress, athletes will never truly reach their goals. Those that are recovering from injuries have a very similar approach within overall health, they must address the origin of what is causing the injury (i.e. stress, compensation patterns, lack of strength). Ryan cares more about his clients as a people, rather than just as an athlete or someone trying to lift a weight. However, when all of these things can be steered in the right direction, individuals have a ceiling that extends higher than imaginable.
Taylor Cook, a former professional volleyball player and CU Boulder graduate, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the world of personal training. As the only First-Team All American in volleyball from CU and a former member of the USA National Team, Taylor has spent 25 years honing her skills and strength both on and off the court.
Throughout her illustrious volleyball career, Taylor devoted countless hours in the weight room, experimenting with various training techniques to enhance her performance. It wasn't until she met her husband, that she discovered a transformative training style that focused on posterior chain strength and explosive power. This unique approach engaged muscles she had never targeted before, leading to significant improvements in her athletic performance.
Inspired by this training methodology, Taylor adopted it as her own and, in March 2023, became a Certified Personal Trainer. Accompanying Ryan at 3D Performance, Taylor aims to share her knowledge and expertise to help aspiring athletes and current professionals achieve their peak potential. Her goal is to make them stronger and more resilient, both on and off the court.
At 3D Performance, Taylor is dedicated to empowering athletes with customized training programs that emphasize strength, explosiveness, and overall muscle engagement. Join Taylor on a journey to unlock your full athletic potential and become the best version of yourself.
